I have taught at the BA, MA and PhD levels in both English and German. In addition to promoting scholarly knowledge – historical expertise, methodological awareness, research and writing skills – I have in mind a goal that ultimately goes beyond professional competencies, namely to help students become independent, critical, and articulate individuals. For this, I put a particular emphasis on the discussion of primary sources in the classroom.
